The first day out to look at houses, our agent, Mary Ann Giacobbe gave us a tour of New Rochelle, and the different neighborhoods. We immediately fell in love with the area. Jay liked the fact that it was a convenient commute for him with the Hutchinson Parkway nearby, and I liked the fact of being close to the water. We also considered neighboring areas such as Mammaroneck, White Plains, and Larchmont to name a few. We just did like the homes that we saw in those areas, but we could get more for our money, and had more possibilities in New Rochelle. About 8 months later we found a house! It was a long process, but we are very happy with our house. The location couldn't be better, in the middle of a great neighborhood, not to far from downtown New Rochelle. We are close to the parkways and great shopping and entertainment.
